Thoughtful touch.
Individualized for your dog.
Canine bodywork is a holistic, hands-on approach that combines massage, stretching, myofascial techniques, Tellington TTouch® and gentle energy work. Each session is individualized around your dog, supporting mobility, body awareness, relaxation and overall wellbeing.
Dogs often adapt and compensate when something feels tight or uncomfortable. Thoughtful touch gives us another way to pay attention to the body and support comfortable movement, circulation and a calmer nervous system — much like the massage, stretching or yoga we choose for ourselves.
No two dogs — or two sessions — are the same.
There is no fixed routine. I start by understanding your dog's history, medical background, lifestyle and goals, then personalize the bodywork sessions around your dog's current needs and what they are comfortable with that day.
UNDERSTAND YOUR DOG'S NEEDS
I review your dog's background and goals, observe gait and movement, and gently palpate to identify sensitive areas, muscular or fascial tension and possible compensation patterns.
CREATE THE BODYWORK PLAN
I document what I observe and create an individualized bodywork plan with suggested cadence and modalities that best fit your dog’s needs. You're welcome to share it with your dog's care team — including your veterinarian, chiropractor or acupuncturist.
LET YOUR DOG LEAD
The plan gives us guidance, but your dog always has a say. I follow what your dog allows and feels comfortable with in each session, adapting the techniques, pace and length to the dog in front of me.
Every dog can benefit from thoughtful touch.
Bodywork can support dogs through different stages, lifestyles and needs — not only when something is wrong.
EVERYDAY WELLNESS
Regular bodywork can support blood circulation, relaxation, comfortable movement and body awareness — helping your dog feel good in the body they use every day.
SENIOR DOGS
Older dogs often do best with shorter, gentler sessions. I work with you to find the length and cadence that feels right for your dog, supporting comfort, mobility and connection to their changing body.
ACTIVE DOGS
From neighborhood walks and adventures on trails in the San Jacinto Mountains to agility and the show ring, active dogs ask a lot of their bodies. Bodywork can help support supple muscles, comfortable movement and relaxation as part of their routine.
SHY & SENSITIVE DOGS
Patient, dog-led touch can help sensitive or anxious dogs become more aware of and comfortable in their own bodies. Gentle bodywork and energy work can encourage the nervous system to settle, creating space for relaxation, trust and confidence.
DESERT LIFESTYLE
Palm Springs summers can mean shorter walks and less outdoor activity. Bodywork can complement your dog’s adjusted exercise routine by supporting circulation, flexibility, body awareness and comfortable movement during the hotter months.
COMPLEMENTING YOUR DOG'S CARE TEAM
I work alongside your dog's existing care team and document my observations and bodywork sessions so you can share them with your veterinarian or other qualified care professionals. Bodywork can also be thoughtfully incorporated as your dog returns to normal activity after a period of reduced mobility following injury, surgery or other veterinary care, with guidance from their care team.*
The dog has a say.
I pay close attention to body language and response throughout every session. Depending on what your dog needs and welcomes, I may incorporate Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point work, friction techniques, Tellington TTouch®, gentle stretching and energy work.
Your dog is free to reposition, take a break or let me know when they've had enough. Comfort always takes priority over the clock.
Appointments are typically 45–60 minutes, including setup and time to discuss what I observed during the session. I document each session and am happy to provide those notes so you can share them with your dog’s care team if you wish.
Bodywork as part of the bigger picture.
Canine massage and bodywork complement — rather than replace — veterinary medicine. I encourage clients to involve their veterinarian when appropriate and welcome collaboration with the professionals already caring for their dog.
Comfort starts at home.
No unfamiliar treatment room. No unnecessary car ride. No rushing. I come to your dog so bodywork can happen where they are often most at ease.
